A fire destroyed three houses on Jalan Irigasi, RT 02/01, Cakung Timur Urban Village, Cakung Sub-district at around 5:16 AM, Tuesday (11/4).

It was allegedly caused by the leaked LPG gas cylinder used for cooking. The fire quickly grew larger due to the abundance of combustible materials around the site.
East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency Head, Abdul Wahid said, the fire started when one of the residents was cooking in the kitchen and is suspected of forgetting to turn off the gas stove.

He explained, as many as 12 fire engines and 60 firefighters were immediately deployed to the scene, and they successfully put out the fire at 6:07 AM.
There were no casualties or injuries in this incident. However, three families with seven people lost their homes.
"We immediately set up a police line for further investigation," he added.
One of the witnesses, Udin (35) admitted, he had just finished the dawn prayer when he heard a commotion outside the house.
"Suddenly, it became crowded and the fire had grown larger. Residents tried to handle it but failed. We appreciate the quick arrival of the firefighters and their immediate firefighting efforts before more houses were burned," he stated.
